This handmade traditional Pichwai painting by Imagineers holds Shrinath Ji at the heart of a beautiful pictorial scene of Gopashtami celebration.

Gopasthami is a festival of Cows which is celebrated to mark the event when lord Shri Krishna became a cow herder {Gowala} officially. It is from this day that lord Shri Krishna was named ‘Govinda’-God of Cows by Lord Indra. Gopasthami Pichwai traditionally has Lord Shri Nathji idol at the centre surrounded with devoted cows and cow herds.

The base of this Pichwai handmade painting is a hand spun cotton cloth. All colors used in this painting are made of natural stone pigments.
