Shri Krishna Handmade Traditional Pichwai Painting ~Sharad Purnima Utsav~

This hand painted Pichwai painting holds lord Shri Krishna at the heart of a beautiful pictorial scene of Sharad Purnima celebration.

Shri Krishna ji at the centre stands as a gwala next to his devoted cow, alluringly dressed, featuring deep big eyes. Shri Krishna ji is seen playing flute to the sound of which Gopikas dance captivatingly at the bank of river Yamuna near Vraj, full of blossoming lotuses , under lush green trees laden with mangoes and fruits.

The word 'Sharad' means Autumn. 'Purnima' is a full moon night. Sharad Purnima is the full moon night that marks the end of monsoon season and is the symbolic on set of Autumn as per the vedic calendar.

This night is said to be show tranquility and peace as it is this night on which Shri Krishna performed the divine raas leela with Radha Rani, playing his flute, surrounded with the cow herding women called Gopikas dancing to his enchanting music. Hence, this auspicious night with a full glowing moon is considered fortunate for meditation purposes as it signifies the divine union of higher consciousness.

The base of this Pichwai handmade painting is a hand spun coton cloth.

Size of this unframed art is 4 * 3 feet.
